What the critics say

Strong performances, especially Shanvi Srivastava's, and a few well-handled emotional scenes carry America America 2, but critics agree the writing is thin and dated, pacing drags, and the plotting feels mechanical and underdeveloped.

The Filmi Score is the mean of 6 readings; 2 of those rows also carry the critic’s own rating, shown beside ours. Rubric v2.1, computed 26 Oct 2026.
